How Your Burning Desire Can Accomplish Anything

“A strong passion for any object will ensure success, for the desire of the end will point out the means” – William Hazlitt. Strong passion is the fuel that keeps a focused individual moving closer and closer to their end goal. It is what makes you want to go through the difficult times and find the way no matter how hard.


I have come to realize that passion is the starting point one must have to start their journey. This passion and determination to reach your goal will decide how and if you reach it. There will be late nights, early mornings, dead ends, delays, tomorrow’s, TV, sleep, food, and everything else in the book to keep you from getting closer. The question is, is your passion stronger than all of the obstacles that will combine and stand in your way?


If your passion isn’t where it needs to be then you might want to check how deep your passion is by asking yourself these questions:


- What are your why’s for wanting to achieve?
- Are these reasons bigger than the obstacles you’ll face?
- How will you feel once you’ve achieved your goal?
- Can you visualize reaching your end goal?
- When do you feel your passion the strongest?
- Does your passion move you to action?


Have you ever met someone that was so passionate about something that they exude the very thing they’re passionate about? You know without a doubt that they’ll accomplish or be whatever they set out to be because they are already living it, thinking it, and being it. That is the burning desire one must have for success.


Napolean Hill in his book Think and Grow Rich says,

“ANYBODY can wish
for riches, and most
people do, but only a few
know that a definite plan,
plus a BURNING DESIRE
for wealth, are the only
dependable means of
accumulating wealth.”

Develop your passion by determining the reasons why you want to achieve your success. Think about it until you can picture yourself achieving your goal, feeling the feelings you’ll have once you’ve accomplished it, living like you’ve accomplished it, and having that mindset continually. Your subconscious mind needs to take over by your total belief and then it will continually work until it finds a way to accomplish it. Your burning passion will drive you to do whatever it takes to achieve your success. All you need to do is find it and fuel it like your life depended on it!
